Mascara Smudging Again? Here Are Tips to Stop it

Mascara seems to be everything but on your eyelashes on some days, you find flakes of it on your cheek, under your eyes and we all know how bad that looks. Its like you forgot you are wearing it and there you go rubbing your eyes! Ever wondered if its because of the brand you use or the age maybe being the reason for it smudging? In the case of the brand that could be part of it, some brands aren’t as good as others are, but you knew that already right? What about the age of your mascara? The truth be told the older your mascara is the better chance it has of starting to dry out and that’s a good idea where the flaking is coming in.
What if your mascara is brand-new and a good brand? And you still finding it under your lower lashes less than half into your day? There are ways to combat that you may not of thought of. A lot of us don’t care to wear mascara on our lower lashes due the fact that it smudges and flakes etc. Those of you that do there is now hope. There are a few things that you can do that will at least get it to think about behaving instead of misbehaving.
Water-proof mascara has always been the best mascara to wear to make sure that there will be no smudging but its not very good on your lashes wearing it all the time. Unless you been wearing Black Magic Mascara then you already know it’s a bit different. I wear it everyday without trouble, no over lost of lashes, breaking any of that mess. Its always could be something really simple that is the problem. How much eye cream are you using? Make sure you pat it under your eyes but just above your cheekbone. That way it works on keeping whatever wrinkles you feel you may have but not do a number on your mascara.
Another way to keep your mascara in check is to let it dry before you add a second coat. Only small problem with that is most of us don’t care for that over heavy look on our lower lashes so it’s a idea but not the best. What I have found that works is best in done in two steps. As a proud wearer of mineral makeup I put it on under my lower lashes first. Then applied my mascara, now the most important step is next.. You need to rub the tips of your lower lashes with a Q-Tip and that removes any extra mascara you may have. It also helps dry your mascara some before you start blinking … I found that if I do this, 9 out of 10 times my mascara stands where it was put!!
